P.A.T.R.O.I.T. ACT

I just read a good quote that reminded me of the patriot act. To all those who support the act, Here is what Ben F. had to say.

"Those who are willing to give up essential liberties to obtain temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
- Benjamin Franklin

Lazy

I've started becoming lazy again. Not being able to post here as much as i should. I was initially excited the last time i posted a message about free gmail accounts because I got 2 responses almost immediately, but then the interest waned and no one really came back to ask for more. Lately the job-search, visa application and resume building have been taking most of my time not to mention a 9-5 job. I am not complaining but just trying to give an excuse as to why I havent posted here a lot.

Well anyways The Search Continues for the ideal job.

Free Gmail Accounts

As usual, I got another set of invites from Gmail. I have finished giving gmail accounts to all my relatives, friends, cousins etc etc. I have given gmail accounts to a lot of people on gmailswap for posting creative swap messages. I have also done community service by giving 1 invite to a US Armed Forces member, so its time for something new.

Please email me at sunilDOTraoAT{you know where} or leave a comment on this page if you want a gmail account.

Lets see how this goes!!!

Indian Shines at Olymics

An Indian Rajyavardhan S. Rathore won the silver medal in the Mens Double trap shooting championship. Incidentally its the first silver medal ever to be won by an indian.
Wow!

Here is the official olympic story
Rajyavardhan S. RATHORE (IND) - Silver medal

On his training:

"Shooting is gradually getting popular. Of course it is nothing compared to cricket because this is the main sport (in India). In the last three years shooting has been getting popular because shooters participate in international competitions. In training everyone works hard especially for competitions like the Olympics. The most important thing is to get your mental abilities correct. Together with my coaches we all work together to try and get my equipment, technique and my mind to a high standard."

On his medal:

"I'm happy to win the silver medal for India. I believe that India has the ability to win many medals. It is the belief that we can win medals. It is also the focus on the Olympic sports that gives us the hope. But unless the focus is on Olympic Sports, no youngster will ever win an Olympic Sport."

On his result:

"I didn't see the scoreboard because of the distance. Although, I saw what the score was but I didn't lose my concentration."

On his training:

"Moving away from home took some weight off my shoulders. We worked hard and we achieved something and I think the credit must go to everyone, to the whole sport and to everyone, not just me. Yes I have been away for months to see what the competition was like abroad and of course to get away from the media."
